June Meeting

As always our June meeting was a busy one.
This month welcomes in our newest official members to Hurstbridge CWA. Denise Smith and Marjatta Jormakka. Marjatta entertained us with a talk about her homeland, Finland. She showed us some of the wonderful craft that they do and we looked at some interesting recipes from the cookery books that she brought.

Our competition for this month was bring along a project that you had done or are in the process of doing. Some of the articles were very interesting but my favourite was Tess' frog. You can see him in the picture. Marjatta knitted some fabulous socks. The perfect gift to keep our toes warm during our frosty winter.

The Wattle Festival is coming round soon and we need to get busy with our craft work and baking to sell at the fair. We are lucky again to get possession of the hall. So once more we will be baking our famous scones and selling Devonshire Teas.
So we hope to see you there. Drop in for a cuppa.
