VIVA LA FESTA!!!!!

At Last the Wattle Festival has come round. We had all been extremely busy baking at home and doing lots of crafty items to sell at our trading table. We had a wide range of items including coat hangers, father's day gifts, baby items, biscuits, preserves and cakes
We spent Saturday morning setting up our displays at the community house including a display of our own handicrafts. We also spent time on getting the kitchen ready for the Devonshire teas.
It turned out to be a beautiful sunny Sunday, so we were expecting a crowd. At first it was a little quiet but as the day went by there were lots of interested customers around willing to buy our goods

Besides our wonderful craft and bakery items we also did our famous Devonshire teas.
As usual we were extremely busy in the kitchen preparing and baking. Our team leader was Joyce who bakes the best scones ever. The highlight of the day was when Denise had an accident with the Mixmaster showering cream not just on herself but all over the floors and walls. Our scones were so popular that customers purchased them before they even came out of the oven. One particular customer came back three times that were so delicious.
By the end of the day ten very weary ladies went home happy with the knowledge they had a very successful day indeed and probably thinking about what they might consider doing for next year’s Wattle festival.

Don't you think our scones look just sooo scrumptious!!!!!
