Hurstbridge C.W.A.

Hurstbridge C.W.A is a small group of active women who meet on the third Wednesday of each month. We discuss such things as women's issues, share craft ideas and exchange bakery tips. A large part of our time is dedicated to raising funds for charity. We hope you enjoy reading our Blogs and visit often.

ELECTION DAY STREET STALL

Well today was election day so we thought why not take advantage of good citizens having to get out of the house to vote by giving them the opportunity to view and purchase our lovely home baked treats to eat and craft.
All day Friday and Friday night we were busy making various goods for the stall, putting finishing touches to our craft and adding that last minute decoration to our cakes.

We set our stall up in Hurstbridge, just outside the butcher's shop. At first the trade was slow but by mid morning we had sold quite a few items.
All of Hurstbridge CWA turned up even our newest member Jessica.
The weather was perfect and we had a great time. (as usual) By early afternoon the customers had diminished and the local businesses were closing for the day, so we packed what was left up and headed home.

Yet another Hurstbridge activity successfully completed.

2007 A.G.M.

Well its that time of year again. Hurstbridge A.G.M.

We had the pleasure of the Diamond Valley Group President, Jenny Disney as guest speaker and all were in attendance, except for our Joyce who is recovering from a broken leg she sustained a while ago. We miss you Joyce!!!

Our committee has stayed relatively the same as last year with the exception of Denise taking over as craft leader.

Congratulations to Kerry for recieving "Member of the Year Award"
You do a great job each month Kerry!

It was a long meeting as Jenny invited comments on how we could improve our numbers and activities and of course we all had to have our say. We finished as usual with a great cuppa, thankyou to Tess, and a wonderful supper.

Next Month we will be celebrating our Xmas breakup at our usual spot.
